A robust framework for developing spatial indexes.
GIS-Python Lab:
Flexible, interoperable open source GIS tools for Python programmers. Including Shapely, OWSLib, and geojson.

The software is distributed primarily through the Python Package Index. Other geospatial-related packages can be found under Topic :: Scientific/Engineering :: GIS. [1]
